TASERC2 Battery Power Supply
System The Lithium Power Magazine or LPM is the
power supply energy cell system that operates the
TASERC2. The C2 uses an LPM, which includes lithium
power cells in a single unit. This system powers the
TASER C2 for up to 50 30-second firings. When first
powered up or (ARMED) the C2 will briefly load the
battery for low battery detection. If the "green" light
is on the battery is good if the "yellow" light comes on
the battery is "bad". The microcontroller then senses
the battery voltage and determines whether or not the
battery is low or operating in a minimal condition,
which is -20C. The LPM should not be stored anywhere
that the gold contacts on the top of the LPM can touch
any metal objects. If it is short-circuited, the LPM
will malfunction and the energy lost during
short-circuits will not be registered or tracked in the
LPM. |
