A
door stop alarm is an inexpensive item you can use
at home or on the road in a hotel or vacation rental
home. It’s not just a wedge that keeps the door secured;
a noisy 118 decibel alert blast loud enough to wake you
(and other hotel guests) as well as scare the intruder
away.
A Door Stop and Alarm
for Motel Vacationers
The door stop alarm (# SDS)
continues to work as a brace even if it is not armed or
if the batteries are dead. The stopper is small in size,
about 6" x 2" x 2-1/4", so you can easily pack one or
two of these in your suitcase, as well as use them at
home on any door and with floor surface for added
security. If you travel across the country and stay in
motels that don’t have deadbolts but instead use a
feeble chain lock (attached with short screws to a thin
frame!) you know it won’t hold if the door is kicked in.
A door stop alarm is a dual-use item: it will hold the
door—and set off an ear-piercing siren! |
